CM's Travelin' Texas Outlaw Blue papered MFTHBA Reg. #06-93350 Born June 3, 2006
Black minimal sabino gelding with a stripe and heavy sabino roaning. |
||
Outlaw is sired by our stallion Color Master out of our mare Travelin' Tootsie. He has outstanding conformation, a beautiful head with a small muzzle and a striking and unusual color -- a very minimal black sabino. His only white marking is a stripe on his face. He has so much sabino roaning that he is a blue roan or steel grey color except in winter when e puts o heavy black coat. His bloodlines include Tom's Travel Master, Giles' Hot Toddy, Master Tom, The Boogie Man, Missouri's Outlaw, Missouri Traveler, Missouri Senator, Royal Rawhide, and Gold Man, among others. He has a friendly and loving personality. He has a beautiful foxtrot and has also shown a running walk under saddle. He leads, ties, bathes, trailer loads and stands for the farrier. Outlaw had ten months of training with Tony and Jenny Vaught of For the Horse Ranch (http://www.forthehorse.org) in Missouri. He was trained using Parelli methods and got plenty of ground work and excellent all around riding foundations. He was ridden in a snaffle and bridleless to ensure that he is responsive to leg and body cues as well as the bit and is now in a mild curb. He has an excellent natural horsemanship foundation and has been trail ridden alone and with other horses around the Vaught's ranch. With his conformation, personality, color and gait, he will make a wonderful trail horse! He has had only minimal riding since I had an accident in October 2012 but he will pick it up again very quickly. He knows how to back, side pass, open gates, cross small obstacles and creeks and has excellent ground manners. To see his pedigree, click here. Pride's Sweet Texas Sunshine Gold papered MFTHBA Reg. #07-93349 AND Double-Registered in the MFT Pony Registry MFTPR Reg. #PR07-96 Born January 7, 2007 Flaxen sorrel with oblong star with attached narrow stripe. |
|
Sunshine is a great little mare! We knew she wasn't terribly tall but she'd been in training for six months before we measured her and realized she would qualify for the MFT pony registry. She's double registered as a gold-papered MFT and also as an MFT Pony. She has no problem carrying an average adult but she can also qualify for pony classes at shows. Her height makes her a great option for an advanced youth rider or an adult wanting an easier mount and dismount. Sunshine has the makings of a great competitive trail or versatility horse. She is quick and athletic and smart. She's had more than a year of training with Tony and Jenny Vaught at For the Horse Ranch in Fair Play, MO, and Becky Strassner of Natural Horse Way in Elgin, TX. She backs, side passes, leg yields, opens and closes gates, crosses obstacles and has been introduced to cattle work. She trailer loads, stands for the farrier and has a sweet, funny personality. She wants and needs a strong bond with her rider. She's super soft and responsive and works primarily off of leg and body cues. She does well in a hackamore and will even do an obstacle course bridleless. She will do best with a rider with soft hands and the experience to take advantage of her responsiveness. Sunshine was shown in June 2013 in pony classes at the Missouri Fox Trotting Super Horse Competition. She won both of her classes, Pony Western Horsemanship and Pony Trail. She was also shown in September 2013 at the MFTHBA World Show and Celebration in the Open Versatility classes. She competed in Open Barrel Racing, Open Pole Bending, Open Western Pleasure and Open Western Horsemanship. She placed in all of her classes competing against much more experienced horses and riders and did surprisingly well in the speed classes, taking 4th place in both against bigger horses. She is naturally multi-gaited. She has a flat foot walk and foxtrot but also a slow walk, a very smooth stepping pace, a jog and a square trot. She has a nice lope and has occasionally shown a fast rack. Her foxtrot and flat walk can be further developed if her new partner is interested in showing at MFT shows or she can do wahtever gait you prefer on the trail. Sunshine has some excellent old bloodlines. Her bloodlines on her sire's side include Danney Joe W., Warrior's Gentleman Gem, Ben's Black Ace and a lot of Zane Grey and Yankee breeding. Her dam is by Wood's Victor Ace (Rawhide's Black Ace E. x Linda's Misty), a grandson of both Red Rawhide and Walker's Merry Lad. She's out of Wood's Sweet Impression (Go Boy's Impressive Red x Chief's Stepping Tiger). Sunshine's sire, Pride's Yankee Cavalier, is pictured in a lower section on this page as a two year old. I own Sunshine's granddam Warrior's Yankee Lady as well. To see her pedigree, click here. There are several videos of Sunshine on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiNaWnUiqO0 (bridleless through obstacle course) http://youtu.be/KBzbS37F5Wc (older video, but shows what she can do) http://youtu.be/haIERL0JwNk (older video, price out of date)

Dealer's Bittersweet Surrender Blue papered MFTHBA Reg. #05-84921
Born April 17, 2005
Deep orange-sorrel filly with lighter mane and tail, large star and rear sock |
|
Sweetie is a half-sister to Sunshine (same dam) but at 15.1 hands has a different build. Sweetie's sire is a son of Panhandler H out of a daughter of The Boogie Man. Sweetie is a sensitive soul, shy at first but wanting to develop a strong bond with her rider and owner. She's been in training at with Vaughts at For the Horse Ranch in Fair Play, Missouri, for 8 months and is going well under saddle with a variety of different riders and in different settings. She backs, side passes and handles different obstacles. She's been out on the trails on the Vaughts ranch. She trailers well and loves a bath. Sweetie needs an experienced rider because she has a lot of go and she prefers a rider with quiet hands but she will make a great partner for the right person. Sweetie has wonderful bloodlines, with Panhandler/Boogie Man on her sire's side and some lovely foundation lines on her dam's side. (Red Rawhide, Walker's Merry Lad, Bay Lady E., Pal, Ribbon). She has potential as a broodmare. We had been considering keeping Sweetie as a broodmare and riding horse but because of my injury we are needing to reduce our numbers, so she is for sale to the right home only. A Little Texas Color (Lily) Gold papered MFTHBA Reg. #07-93534 Born November 5, 2007 Smoky black sabino filly with rear stockings, extensive sabino roaning, and no other markings. SOLD Congratulations Susan B! |
||
Lily is sired by our stallion Color Master out of our palomino mare Stepnstone's Cream Puff. Color Master's bloodlines include Tom's Travel Master, Giles' Hot Toddy, Master Tom, The Boogie Man, Missouri's Outlaw, and Missouri Traveler. Cream Puff is by the well-known cremello stud Cotton Eyed Joe (Golden Emperor x Golden Mae) out of Stepping Dixie (Boomerang's Allen x Doc's Dark Lady). Lily has been DNA tested for color and is a smoky black minimal sabino, which means that she is a black horse that also carries the cream gene. If she is bred she will be able to produce palominos and smoky blacks and she can produce buckskins if bred to a stud that carries the agouti gene. Lily's smoky black color is lightened by her heavy sabino roaning to an unusual tawny shade. Her markings are unusual as well, including an off center white mark on her forehead, a white splash on the back of one knee and a large white area under her jaw. Lily has excellent conformation and a beautiful head. She foxtrots in the pasture and under saddle and is quick, agile and confident. She is a friendly, people-oriented filly but is also independent and curious. Lily leads, ties, trailer loads and stands for the farrier. Lily is currently in Missouri for saddle training with Tony and Jenny Vaught of For the Horse Ranch (http://www.forthehorse.org). She's been in training with them since November 15, 2011 and is going well under saddle, being riddn in a snaffle and also bridleless to ensure that he is respnsive to leg and body cues as well as the bit. She's getting a great natural horsemanship foundation and can be purchased with an additional training package. She will make someone a very striking riding mare or broodmare! For sale for $2,750. Price will increase with additional training. |

CM's Texas Wildflower Gold papered MFTHBA Reg. #06-93533 Born 10/05/2006 Flashy black sabino filly with a wide blaze and rear stockings.
SOLD Congratulations, Tom R! |
|
Wildflower is sired by Color Master out of our flaxen sorrel mare Blossom. Blossom has heavy Zane Grey and Golden Governor breeding with a little Toddy's Perfection and Boogie Man thrown in for good measure. Wildflower is the first offspring from this cross, and we will definitely be repeating this breeding! This filly has beautiful conformation with the solid hidquarters I like to see, and she can really move, too. She gaits, she turns, she backs and spins-- she just loves to do it all. She has a calm and friendly personality and loves petting, kids, cats and even the farrier. Wildflower is incredibly easy to catch and ot work with. She comes running when she sees the halter. She leads, ties, stands solidly for the farrier and is pretty bombproof in her attitude. Her bloodlines include Tom's Travel Master, Giles' Hot Toddy, Master Tom, The Boogie Man, Missouri's Outlaw, Missouri Traveler, Perfection's Masterpiece, Toddy's Perfection, Zane Grey, and Lad's Super Star, among others. Pride's Yankee Cavalier MFTHBA Reg. #04-84666 Born May 14, 2004 Bay colt with small star and no other markings except white "frosting" in mane and tail and scattered white hairs on neck, withers, flas and rump. SOLD! Congratulations to B. Bollinger. Cavalier went to a great home! |
|
Our frosty bay roan mare Warrior's Yankee Lady gave birth on May 14, 2004, to a lovely bay colt sired by Danny's Pride of Princess S., a gold champage stallion owned by Linda Vishino of Zorro Farms. The colt has a tiny, off center star and no other markings, but he does have white "frosting" in his mane and tail and white hairs in his coat that may indicate that he carries either the rabicano or the frosty gene. . This colt is a grandson of the great Danney Joe W. through his sire. His dam is a granddaugher Warrior's Gentleman Gem and Ben's Black Ace and she also has a lot of Zane Grey and Yankee breeding. To see his sire, click here. To see his pedigree, click here. We had planned to keep Cavalier as out second stallion, but due to health problems we have decided that we will be unable to handle two stallions at this time and we are reluctantly offering him for sale as either a stud prospect or a gelding. With his bloodlines, conformation and sensible nature he could do well on the trail or in the versatility arena, or even at model. He has a beautiful natural foxtrot but it may not be reachy enough for the show ring. For Sale for $2800. |

Rhythm Master MFTHBA Reg. #03-80086 Black Sabino Stud Colt Born July 25, 2003 |
||
---|---|---|
Rhythm Master is a flashy stud colt. His sire is Color Master and his dam is Travelin' Tootsie. He's a black sabino with a wide blaze and rear stockings. He also has sabino roaning, especially on his flanks. He should mature at around 15 hands. Rhythm's bloodlines include lots of Master Tom and Giles' Hot Toddy on top, and Missouri Traveler and Royal Rawhide on the bottom. He's a nice cross of old foundation bloodlines through his dam with well-known, more modern lines through his sire. We can't say enough good things about this colt. We would be keeping him ourselves, but since we own both his sire and his dam, it doesn't make sense for our breeding program. He's current on all vaccinations, including West Nile, and has been wormed regularly and had his feet trimmed every 6 weeks. We'll get new pictures as soon as he sheds his winter coat. To see Rhythm Master's pedigree, click here. For sale for $2500 SOLD! Congratulations to Jim Bibbo of Bradford, New Hampshire! Rhythm is standing at stud in New Hampshire and his first 3 foals were born in 2006. |

Blackjack is by a bay stud, Panhandler's Wheeler Dealer, and out of our palomino mare, Stepnstone's Cream Puff. Wheeler Dealer is a son of Panhandler H (Lad's Stormy Don x Sambo's Beauty) out of a daughter of The Boogie Man, and Cream Puff is by the well-known cremello stud Cotton Eyed Joe (Golden Emperor x Golden Mae) out of Stepping Dixie (Boomerang's Allen x Doc's Dark Lady). This colt is tall, super friendly and well put together. He has a lovely head and has foxtrotted from birth. Based on his birth color, he is very probably a smoky black, which means that he got a cream gene from his dam and if kept a stud will be able to produce palominos, buckskins and smokies.
